Working principle of WTS series shredders

The feed material is fed by slowly rotating shafts against each other (resulting in quiet and dust-free operation) on which the cutting discs are mounted. The process is controlled by an advanced and intelligent PLC control system. If the machine is overloaded or a foreign object enters the shredder, the control system activates reversing. Thanks to the precise spacing between the cutting discs, the material is shredded with little force. The scrubbing combs installed to prevent the shredded material from wrapping or the shredded material from rising. The size of the shredded material depends on the width of the knives used and the amount of blade.

Shredding discs:
  • Made of special steel (hardened) or Hardox steel
  • The discs are reduced one by one and easily replaced
  • Different thicknesses and shapes of shredding discs are available
  • Precise cutting distance reduces the risk of material clogging and "saves" the required drive force
Case / bearings:
  • Robust, bolt-on construction
  • Separate, split bearing module; when replacing the shredding discs, the shafts can be removed from the machine completely and quickly
  • The highest quality two-row spherical roller bearings are protected against the ingress of solids and liquids by means of partition and sealing gaskets. This ensures a very long service life of the bearings
  • High quality drive with high reliability factor
  • The drive extraction auxiliary sleeve makes it easy and simple to disassemble when replacing blades
  • Drive supports are made of elastic rubber
  • The advantages of the two gears are that each shaft is driven by a separate gear, which ensures a constant torque for both shafts. In the event of an overload of one gear, the second shaft continues to operate (increased performance). The drive does not require much maintenance.
