Heavy-duty granulators with rotor diameters from 320 to 1600 millimetres and 15 to 300 kilowatt motors, with horizontal feed troughs. The feed trough is filled with the pipes to be granulated and then closed hydraulically. A mechanical control operated in accordance with the power consumption of the main motor ensures the optimum loading of the machine.
