More than 30 years of experience in shredder manufacturing have been used to develop the new design of this ProShred shredder series.

 

The operating principle of the ProShred series:
The material is fed into two slowly rotating shafts (so the process is almost dust and noise-free), on which knife discs are mounted. This process is controlled by an intelligent and innovative PLC control system. If the machine is overloaded or foreign objects appear in the shredding mechanism, the control system activates reverse. Due to the precise gap between the knife discs, the material is shredded while saving energy. The installed cleaning comb mechanism prevents the shredded material from wrapping or being lifted up. The width of the knives or the number of cutting edges determines the final size of the shredded material.

 Knife discs

  • Made of special steel (fully hardened) or Hardox steel.
  • The discs are mounted separately and are easily replaced.
  • Several geometries and different thicknesses of the knife discs are available.
  • The precise cutting gap prevents material jamming, reducing the required drive power.

Machine body/bearing seat

  • Sturdy screw construction.
  • The bearing assembly is split; when changing the blade discs, the shafts can be completely, easily and quickly removed from the machine.
  • High-quality double-row spherical roller bearings are protected by a partition and additional sealing against the ingress of liquids and solids, thus guaranteeing a longer bearing life.

Gear

  • High quality reducer with high working coefficient.
  • Gearbox removal aid – allows for easy and simple disassembly when changing blades.
  • The reducer is elastically mounted using rubber supports.
  • The advantages of two gearboxes are that each shaft is driven by a separate gearbox, which ensures a constant torque on both shafts. If one gear is overloaded, the other shaft continues to work (increased efficiency). The gearbox does not require much maintenance.
