The SMS series of plastic shredders are equipped with powerful blades for shredding plastics under difficult conditions and in large quantities.
It has the following characteristics:
- Heavy-duty knife granulator for tough applications and maximum outputs
- Flexible design for multiple applications by means of a removable deflection wedge
- Energy-efficient double cross cutting action
- Constant cutting circle due to adjustable rotor and bed knives
- Optimum access to the cutting chamber for ease of cleaning and maintenance
Description:
The SMS Series shredders can be used in all areas of the plastics industry.
They can be modified for shredding hollow containers (barrels, boxes, containers) as well as for shredding heavy, large pieces of plastic and thick-walled sheets.
Herbold SMS are also used in washing lines in combination with water.
Contaminated plastics are washed and shredded simultaneously by the frictional effect of the high volume of circulating water.
The SMS series shredders are recommended for recyclers of used plastics as they are highly adaptable for shredding both bulky bodies and thick sheets.
SMS shredders have replaceable, highly wear-resistant wear parts to protect the main body, the counter-blades and the blades from wear.
The rotor diameter of the chipperranges from 300 to 800 mm and the working width from 500 to 2000 mm. Engine range from 22kW to 250kW.
