Waste transfer station HUSMANN MP
Product code H-MP5/10
Transfer stations, where waste is compressed and transferred to cost-effective transport systems. Using transfer stations keeps conventional waste collection vehicles fit for purpose and does not require them to be used as long-distance lorries.
Waste transfer station HUSMANN MP
As a result of the Waste Management Act and its implementing regulation, more and more small landfills are being closed, requiring waste to be transported long distances from the place where it is collected to central landfill sites, to incineration sites, and to composting and recycling plants.
The relatively low potential load and high labour costs of refuse trucks make direct transport unacceptably expensive. It is therefore appropriate to build transfer stations where the waste from a given area can be compressed and transferred to cost-effective transport systems. Two pressing systems are available: the standard system and the pre-press system. In a virgin system, the waste is first compacted and then pushed into a container. In contrast to this system, the waste inside the container is compacted using a standard system. These containers range from 20 m³ to 60 m³. The net weight may be determined by a special weighing system before, during or after pressing. Assembly vehicles retain their purpose and must not be used as long-distance trucks. This ensures money-saving transport for waste to central locations. Traffic on the road is reduced, as is the number of vehicles at landfills and central recycling plants. The transfer station is also environmentally friendly. There is virtually no smell or noise. It also fits in with the individual landscape.
