In order to be able to press closed PET bottles or other high-density plastic containers, they must be perforated. BRT HARTNER PS/PD perforators are used for this purpose.

Description
The BRT HARTNER PET material perforator is equipped with a rotating drum with robust blades, an electric geared motor, a clamping valve (clamping mechanism) and a frame. Bottles and hollow bodies are gripped and retracted into the gap between the clamping valve and the drum. The distance is reduced so that the containers are not only punctured but also squeezed. Air and liquids can escape. The volume of the bottles and containers is now reduced and can no longer roll, which facilitates the transport of the material volume. Large volumes of material can be accommodated in collection hoppers. The conveyor belt is used more efficiently so that the press can be filled faster. If necessary, a counter knife bar can be attached to the clamping valve to allow the machine to punch even very small bottles.
The perforator blades are made of wear-resistant steel and can be re-sharpened. They are robust enough to be used as a glass crusher or for aluminium cans. Foreign or disturbing objects in the material are also not a problem.
The PET perforator can be built into the discharge chute of a manual sorting line or mounted above the mobile feed belt into the baler. Freestanding machines with feed chute and base design are also available. The perforator is available in three different working widths, also as a double perforator BRT HARTNER PD.
With perforators, the volume of PS/PD material can be reduced by more than 30%.
