The PAAL DOKON range of balers provides pressing forces of between 80 and 200 tonne with bale formats of either 800 x 1100, or 1100 x 1100 mm. Unlike steel-tied bales, a DOKON bale is ideal for wrapping (no sharp edges) and for incineration as the twine burns.

Controls
To avoid possible vibration and oscillation effects, the control cabinet is installed separately from the press.
Electronic control of the press is available on a 9″ touch screen. It allows control of programmes and data monitoring. The latest generation of PLCs and touchscreens offers excellent maintenance possibilities.
A high level of safety is ensured by a safety system based on the principle of special keys, which is aligned with the most relevant machinery directive.

To avoid rodent damage, the cables on the press are embedded in open channels.
A PC connection can be added on request to transfer production data and evaluate it in Excel.

Hydraulics
Compact, quiet hydraulic motors are designed with modern drives and powerful axial piston pumps that significantly reduce the amount of energy used.

The hydraulic units are mounted with gear axles directly on the cylinders, which have a large diameter to minimise temperature rise and power losses. A variable flow pump and a small number of spigots reduce energy wastage and service costs.

The high quality master cylinder is made using only threaded joints, eliminating the possibility of weakness and cracking at the welds.

Cutting system
The V-shaped cutting blade ensures that less force is applied to the cut and that the cut bale top is smooth and easy to stack.
The optional cutting edge stamper eliminates the cramming of raw materials.

Press chamber
The smooth operation of the press chamber can be easily maintained and serviced via the service door on either side of the machine.

The bottom and sides of the DOKON press chamber are covered with high-strength Hardox steel plates bolted together.

Low system wear is due to the precise movement of the plate. The PAAL-designed press plates move using eight wheels, side guides and a central lubrication system.

Press channel
The fully automatic three-way adjustable channel, together with precise control of its opening speed, ensures a perfect pressing process.

Combining precise bale dimensions and dynamic control programmes, the press compresses even different raw materials into neat bundles.

The durable press channel can be covered with special abrasion-resistant steel.

Binding
Fully automatic 4/5-winding horizontal strapping and double knot technology ensure that the bundles are securely tied.

Separate motors for the tying mechanism and the knife increase efficiency and functionality.
The use of PP strips instead of steel wire reduces operating costs and facilitates transport and storage. It also reduces the risk of injury from wire shearing and from protruding wire ends.

To burn the materials in the incinerator, the tape burns completely, unlike the wire, which should be removed before burning.
